The death of a Rockville doctor has been ruled a homicide by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner, Montgomery County police said in a news release Tuesday.

Chandrasekhar Korapati, 50, was found dead Thursday at his home in the 9800 block of Juniper Hill Road, part of the Willows community.

Neighbors said they were used to seeing police cars at the Korapati residence.

According to court records accessed online, Korapati was the subject of two protective orders for domestic violence filed in Montgomery County District Court—one in 2006 and another 2008. It was not clear from court records accessed online who filed for the protective orders.

The protective order granted against Korapati in 2008 was dismissed because the person who filed it failed to appear in court.
