Hole in roof discovered at Lacy Couture Apparel, at Potomac Woods Shopping Center

Rockville police are investigating a burglary attempt in which a hole was cut into the roof of a clothing boutique at Potomac Woods Shopping Center earlier this month.

Maj. Tim Marsh, a police spokesman, said the hole was discovered at Lacy Couture Apparel by roofers performing scheduled maintenance.

The hole was drilled sometime overnight on June 9 into the morning of June 10, according to city police records.

But nothing was reported missing, Marsh said.

“Who knows,” Marsh said. “Maybe they drilled the hole in the wrong store.”
