Michael Steenstra, Neighbor

I was born and raised in a small, Northeastern New Jersey town named Midland Park.  Given my old geographic location, I am a huge Knicks, Yankees, and Giants fans (I'm sorry Rockville citizens).  I'm not all bad though, I have decided that in honor of my new home, I have decided to become a Terps fan (partly due to the lack of good College programs in New Jersey (Go Rutgers? Nah)).

I moved to Rockville in May of 2010 to be closer to the girl of my dreams.  We met while we attended Calvin College in Grand Rapids, MI and plan on getting married in August of this year (2011).  She was born and raised in Rockville.

News reporting is something that I have only taken an interest in since I've moved to Rockville.  I started out with The PG County Sentinel before I moved over to the Rockville Patch.  I'm also a frequent collaborator with high school sports website, Gamedaymd.com.
