No you're right jag how could I be so foolish. All we're doing is adjusting for inflation....of course. Owe'malley's campaign theme for 2016 can be "let me do to America what I've done to Maryland". According to your link MD is still in the highest 25% of states in taxes. Taxes don't rise with inflation like goods and services do for your information. If that were the case they could only go up and never down. Or maybe that's the way you want it.

It's playing with the #'s John. Anyone who has lived here for any amount of time knows what the taxes are like and where they are headed. MD is not a friendly place to retire, open a business or even live anymore. It's like when Owe'malley raised raised the gas tax he called it an "update to our gas tax" and jag echoed that. Now people such as that argue that it is fiscally responsible to raise the taxes, otherwise we are not "paying our bills". Talk about some twisted logic. How about reducing the size of the government and then we won't have to "update our tax system" (ie. raise taxes).

Yes liberals are very generous with other people's money. However very stingy with their own as we've seen when people like Gore and Biden have their tax returns released and they give virtually nothing to charity.

ReplyThe Patch really ought to eliminate this propoganda piece. I counted nine times in this column where the word "invest" or some version of it was used. Informed people know that term is a liberal euphomism for government spending to try to make it sound good. Owe'malley should "invest" in a new career instead of making life miserable for the rest of us.

ReplyI should have put my above comment in the proper context. I have had frequent power outages recently and I told the rep I knew it wasn't her fault but that I thought BGE was (expletive) and I was sick of their (expletive) service. Then I told her to have a nice day. Not so bad huh?

Remember under Owe'malley's unconstitutional anti gun bill guns that are stolen must be reported within 72 hours to the police or one will face severe penalties. Obviously they were here as a police report was filed but what if one did not know that guns were stolen for some reason? The people at fault here are the criminals not Ray Rice.
