Rockville City Council Agenda: Financial Advisory Board, Bond Sales and Holiday Drive Awards

A vote on a contract for stormwater management is also on the agenda.

  A discussion of the structure and scope of a financial advisory board, votes to authorize the sale of city bonds and recognition of partners in the city’s annual holiday drive are on the Rockville City Council’s agenda for Monday.  A closed-door session will be held at 5:30 p.m. before the regular business meeting. The purpose, according to the agenda, is "to consult with counsel to obtain legal advice; and to consult with staff, or other individuals about pending or potential litigation” regarding alley abandonment. Rockville's Holiday Drive Reaches the Thanksgiving Home Stretch

Food drive ends Wednesday. Toy and gift certificates are still needed for December.

  The first phase of the City of Rockville’s annual holiday drive is in the home stretch as Thanksgiving approaches. But there are still plenty of opportunities to give and to volunteer. Food donations for Thanksgiving baskets will be accepted at city facilities through the close of business on Wednesday. Here’s a quick guide to holiday giving through the city’s holiday drive: Thanksgiving food needs The following items are needed for Thanksgiving baskets: Monetary donations The city uses monetary donations to buy fresh food and gift certificates for Thanksgiving and December distributions.
