Should Redskins Fans Back the Ravens in the Super Bowl?

At least one Washington Post writer thinks so.

As the Ravens prepare to face the 49ers in Sunday's Super Bowl—and with the Redskins having long since begun their own off-season—Washington fans are once again faced with a conundrum: should they back Baltimore? It's a question many Washingtonians confronted in recent seasons as the Ravens racked up four playoff appearances to the Redskins' none. But with the arrival of rookie sensation Robert Griffin III and the team's first signs of postseason life since 2007, has the calculus changed? For one Washington Post writer, the answer is still simple: Hail to the Ravens.  Craig Timberg, an admitted Baltimore fan, says it's a no-brainer given the Ravens' many parallels to the Lombardi-winning Redskins clubs of yore: a stout defense, a great …

Andre Taylor's Tasty Tidbits

Mr. Tidbit Picks Green Bay Over Steelers in Super Bowl

Loaded apple-chicken bratwurst big winner on Sunday.

Hello everyone and welcome to the Super Bowl XLV version of Andre Taylor’s Tasty Tidbits! The big game has arrived and like in previous years, my Philadelphia Eagles won’t be playing for an NFL championship. Being the Philadelphian I am, I can’t jump on the bandwagon for any team, especially the cross-state rival Pittsburgh Steelers. Even though the Green Bay Packers put my Eagles out of the playoffs in the first round, I still pick them to win it all this year. To show my support for the NFC Champions, I’m firing up my stovetop skillet and whipping up some apple-chicken bratwurst and loading up the bun with some fried onions, smoked apple wood bacon, some shredded cheddar cheese, mustard and ketchup. This is a real simple meal to make. …
