Girls claim Meadow Hall Elementary School teacher touched them inappropriately, The Washington Post reports.
Two more students have accused a teacher of sexually abusing them at Meadow Hall Elementary School in Rockville, The Washington Post reports. The students—both 11-year-old girls—claim fifth-grade teacher Timothy Krupica, 30, fondled them outside their clothes and forced them to touch him inappropriately, a police spokeswoman told The Post. The statement says, in part: The reports contain allegations that this abuse occurred when Mr. Morales was a teacher, erroneously implying that he was a teacher at Covenant Life School. The reports fail to state that Mr. Morales, though a church member at the time, was never a pastor in Covenant Life Church nor a teacher in Covenant Life School. A former climbing instructor from Rockville who pleaded guilty to sexual abuse of a 14-year-old student, was sentenced Friday to four years in prison. Michael J. Lyons, who was 31 at the time of the crime, pleaded guilty to one count of child sexual abuse on Nov. 30 after he was accused of having sex with a 14-year-old girl who was a member of a competitive rock climbing team he coached through the Earth Treks Climbing Center in Columbia. Howard County Circuit Judge Louis Becker III sentenced Lyons to 15 years, with all but four years suspended. Lyons was credited with serving 221 days and will serve an additional three-plus years. A Rockville man who worked as a climbing instructor faces eight years in prison and a list of conditions that will follow him for the rest of his life as the result of a plea agreement reached in Howard County Circuit Court on Wednesday. A Rockville man who was a rock climbing instructor at several Maryland climbing gyms, has been charged in the sexual assault of a 14-year-old girl, the Howard County Department of Police said in a news release on Wednesday. Michael J. Lyons, 31, of 1037 Brice Road in Rockville, has been charged with one count of sex abuse of a minor, one count of sexual solicitation of a minor, six counts of third-degree sex offenses, three counts of fourth-degree sex offenses and one count of second-degree assault, according to online court records. Man grabbed 20-year-old woman along Veirs Mill Road.
Police detectives are investigating an attempted sexual assault that occurred on Monday evening just east of Twinbrook Parkway along the shoulder of Veirs Mill Road, county police said in a news release. A Prince George’s County Sheriff's deputy faces three assault charges stemming from a fight at a Kentlands nightspot that started after he allegedly slapped a woman’s backside. Michael Zachery Barrack, 27, of Rockville is charged in Montgomery County District Court with two counts of second-degree assault and one count of fourth-degree sexual assault as a result of the August brawl at the Star Diner. Barrack has been with the sheriff's office since July 2007. He has been reassigned to administrative duties, according to a spokeswoman.
