Rockville City Police: Man Arrested for Impersonating Firefighter, Copper Thefts, More

The following incident information was provided by Rockville City Police. Arrests do not imply guilt.

Arrests First Street and Maple Avenue—A 25-year-old man was arrested for impersonating a firefighter, which was discovered during traffic violation investigation at around 8 a.m. March 20. 14500 block of Avery Road—A 15-year-old male was arrested for disrupting school operations and obstructing and hindering a police investigation at 10:45 a.m. March 20. Leland Street and Maryland Avenue— A 29-year-old man was arrested for possession of a concealed weapon (machete), possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia on March 20 at 2 a.m.   Incidents Unit block and 100 block of West Montgomery Avenue—Copper piping was removed from the outside of two historic building between midnight March 6 and 9:30 a.m. March 13. The following is compiled from crime summaries provided by the Rockville City Police Department. Arrests do not imply guilt. Arrests 300 block of Lynn Manor Drive: A 21-year-old man was arrested on May 21 and charged with first-degree burglary, second-degree assault and theft for an incident that occurred between 2 a.m. and 2:20 p.m. on Feb. 9. Unit block of Bouldercrest Court: An 18-year-old man was served an arrest warrant on May 25 for first-degree burglary, theft, malicious destruction of property and possession of controlled dangerous substance paraphernalia in connection that occurred between 1:30 and 4 p.m. on May 10 at the address mentioned above. 200 block of Richard Montgomery Drive: A 17-year-old male was arrested for possession…

Rockville City Police Chief Terrance N. Treschuk provided some detail to the report of a knife at a school. The address in the May 29 report—200 block of Richard Montgomery Drive—is that of Richard Montgomery High School.
