UPDATE: Police: Witness Said Montgomery College Student Told Them He Was 'Going to Shoot Everyone'

Chief: A 19-year-old student was taken to a hospital for evaluation.

  Update, 5:55 p.m., Nov. 12: A 19-year-old Montgomery College student was taken into custody by Rockville city police on Monday afternoon after fellow students said the man told them he—in his words—“felt like shooting people just for fun,” a college spokeswoman said. The students reported the incident to the Rockville campus security office about 2 p.m., said Elizabeth Homan, a Montgomery College spokeswoman. The man “indicated he was upset over a relationship,” Homan said. Rockville city police Lt. Many 19 year old kids say really stupid things. They are kids and dont realize the severity of the words they say. On the other hand many people have died from ignoring these kinds of threats. Montgomery College did exactly what they should have.   more ›

StoryCorps Visits Montgomery College

StoryCorps records and preserves the true stories of real people.

Everyone has a story to tell. It may be the story of an enduring love, a friendship that spans decades, or a teacher who changed a life. The one thing these stories have in common is that they are the uniquely personal, true stories of real people.
