All U.S. Open Metro Shuttle Passes Sold Out

And if you were lucky enough to snag one, expect delays on the Red Line this weekend.

Sunday passes for shuttles to the U.S. Open at Congressional Country Club from the Grosvenor-Strathmore Metro have now sold out, according to Transportation Management Services (TMS), the company that contracts with the United States Golf Association (USGA) to run the service. By about noon on Thursday, all passes for Thursday, Friday and Saturday had been sold, according to Mike Moulton, who runs the project for TMS.  By 7 a.m. Friday, all the passes for Sunday were also gone, Moulton said. The shuttle buses are run via a reservation system. 3,500 daily passes had been available with an additional 800 weekly passes that allow passengers to ride any day of the week. U.S. Open Metro Shuttle Passes Sold Out for Thursday, Friday and Saturday

Update, Friday, June 17: All Metro shuttle passes are now sold out. Original post: Passes for shuttles that run between the U.S. Open at Congressional Country Club and the Grosvenor-Strathmore Metro station have sold out for Thursday, Friday and Saturday, according to Transportation Management Services (TMS), the company that is contracting with the United States Golf Association (USGA) to run the shuttles. Passes for the shuttles, which can handle about 3,500 daily spectators, didn't sell out during practice rounds on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, according to Mike Moulton, who runs the project for TMS.
