My very favourite Christmas tune of all time is "Do You Hear What I Hear?" as sung by the incomparable Bing Crosby in 1963. Written during the Cuban Missile Crisis of 1962 and being released only a few days before the assassination of President Kennedy, that beautifully-crafted number struck a literal chord with the American people. The 10 Least-Liked Holiday Songs: What's Yours?

From singing dogs to a philandering Santa Claus, these recordings came in last place in a recent survey.

  Odds are there's at least one Christmas recording filling the airwaves each December which you absolutely, positively cannot stand. Maybe it's something about the vocalist. Maybe the song brings up less-than-cheerful memories. Maybe the carol itself is just plain awful. Whatever the reason, you're not alone. Edison Research, a marketing and polling firm, has published a list of least-liked holiday songs for 2012. To compile its rankings, the company polled a group of 200 women ages 30-49 "who said they liked or loved hearing Christmas music on the radio." (The sample may be somewhat unrepresentative of the broader population, but we're willing to bet a few of these recordings would show up on a great many "least favorite" lists.) Coming …
