Three Boys Charged in Attempted New Year's Day Armed Robbery Near White Flint Mall

A woman was punched in the head after the suspects demanded cash, police said.

Three boys, ages 15 to 17, were charged in an attempted armed robbery on New Year’s Day in the White Flint area, Montgomery County police said Thursday. Officers responded to the 5800 block of Nicholson Lane in North Bethesda at 5:48 p.m. Tuesday for a report of a woman screaming. The 56-year-old woman left White Flint Mall and was walking along Nicholson Lane when three suspects approached her from behind and demanded cash, police said in a news release. One of the suspects punched the woman in the head, according to the release. When the woman screamed, the suspects fled. An off-duty Metropolitan Police Department officer saw the suspects and followed them to the White Flint Metro station, police said. Montgomery County police responded …

Police Release Photos of Rockville Armed Robbery Suspect

A man robbed the Food Express convenience store early Tuesday, police said.

Surveillance photos show a man Montgomery County police said is wanted for an armed robbery of a Rockville convenience store Tuesday. The man entered the Food Express convenience store at 16254 Frederick Road in Rockville at 1:14 a.m., approached the clerk and announced a robbery while displaying a black semi-automatic handgun, police said in a news release. The clerk complied with the suspect’s demand, giving him cash from the register, police said. The suspect fled with an undisclosed amount of cash. Police released the photos Wednesday, asking for the public’s help in identifying the suspect. Patch's policy is not to use racial identifiers when describing suspects unless it is part of a much more specific physical description (e.g. "the suspect had a heart tattoo that said 'Mom' on his right forearm.") Police Search for Leisure World Armed Robbery Suspect

Surveillance videos show suspect using a stolen credit card at CVS on Veirs Mill Road.

Montgomery County police are asking for the public's help in identifying a suspect involved in an armed robbery that occurred in the Leisure World shopping center the night before Thanksgiving. Police have released surveillance footage showing the suspect using the victim’s credit card at a CVS store at 12209 Veirs Mill Road, in Wheaton. The suspect is seen in the videos with his face still masked as he enters the store and makes his transaction at the cash register. The suspect is described as a black male, approximately 20 years old, 5-10″, and weighing approximately 200 pounds.  He was wearing a black Northface windbreaker with a hood, dark blue jeans, and a skull cap. Boys—Ages 12, 13 and 14—Arrested in July Robberies in Rockville

Police: Two of the boys used a pistol in robberies at Welsh Park and College Plaza.

  A 13-year-old and a 14-year-old have been charged in three July robberies, including one in which police say a 12-year-old also participated, Rockville City Police announced. The boys used a pistol in two of the robberies, police said. In a third, in which the 12-year-old also was charged, four juvenile suspects implied that they had a weapon, police said. All three boys lived in Rockville at the time of the incidents, said Maj. Tim Marsh a Rockville City Police spokesman.  All three were charged as juveniles, he said. Rockville Police Arrest Second Teen in Armed Robberies

The robberies occurred at Welsh Park and College Plaza on July 31.

  Rockville City Police arrested a 14-year-old on Tuesday in two armed robberies, city police announced.  The juvenile was the second teen arrested in the July 31 incidents, which were reported about 40 minutes apart at Welsh Park and the College Plaza shopping center. The 14-year-old was charged with: City police were called about 9:30 p.m. on July 31 for a report that several people had been robbed while playing basketball at Welsh Park, at Mannakee Street and Martins Lane. The victims told officers that two suspects were seen going through the victims’ personal belongings, police said. Police Investigating Armed Robbery of Armored Car

One man had a handgun, police said.

County police are searching for two men who police said robbed an armored car at the Navy Federal Credit Union in the 12200 block of Rockville Pike around 11:20 a.m. Wednesday. One man had a handgun, police said. The men fled with an undisclosed amount of money. A police spokeswoman said detectives are interviewing witnesses. Rockville Patch will have more details as they become available.

Damascus Man Arrested for Attempted Murder in Rockville

Kyle A. Duppins has been charged with attempted murder, assault and armed robbery.

Rockville City Police arrested a 26-year-old Damascus man on Sunday after responding to a call for a burglary in progress at the Red Roof Inn. Kyle A. Duppins, of 9800 block of Bethesda Church Road, Damascus, has been charged with attempted murder, two counts of first degree assault, one count of armed robbery and one count of reckless endangerment. Police say Duppins robbed and stabbed a victim at the Red Roof Inn on Sunday. He was found in the parking lot and identified by the victim as the assailant. Duppins had a "hunting type knife covered in what appeared to be blood," a statement released by police said. Duppins is currently being held at the Montgomery County Detention Center without bail.

Police: Man Held for Sex Shop Robbery Confessed to String of Stickups

A man arrested Saturday for allegedly robbing an adult store on Rockville Pike at gunpoint faces charges in six other armed robberies after police say he confessed to a string of incidents in Gaithersburg, Germantown, Kensington and Rockville dating to Jan. 11. Ramon Michael Gunn, 25, of the 11400 block of Rockville Pike, in North Bethesda, was under police surveillance on Saturday night when he allegedly robbed Night Dreams at around 10:45 p.m. Gunn brandished what appeared to be a handgun and demanded cash, according to Montgomery County police. Silver Spring Man Charged in King Farm Robbery

The 19-year-old was already in jail on separate charges.

A Silver Spring man has been charged in the robbery of a woman and her son at gunpoint as they unloaded groceries in front of their home in King Farm on Dec. 11. Omiesam Nathaniel Ockiya, 19, of the 13200 block of Black Walnut Court, is charged with one count of armed robbery, two counts of first-degree assault and various credit card offenses and conspiracy charges. Ockiya appeared at a bond review hearing in District Court in Rockville on Thursday. He is being held in lieu of $250,000 bond at the Montgomery County Correctional Facility.
