The Christian Science Reading Room is a place for quiet study and spiritual research of the Bible and access toMore Christian Science resources. Christian Science Weekly Bible Lessons and other periodicals are also available. 

Various translations of the Bible and "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy are also sold at the reading room. Eddy's book is the Christian Science textbook.

The reading room is across the street from the Rockville Town Square and not far from the Rockville Metro Station on the red line.

The First Church of Christ of Rockville supports the room and doesn't seek contributions for its use. Other personal religious beliefs are respected.

Friends of the Library

Friends of the Library, Montgomery County (FOLMC) and its 16 chapters in 21 branches advocates and raises money forMore the entire library system. This is done through book sales, literary luncheons with authors, art shows and other events.  

This money goes toward funding for children's library programs such as summer reading, teen summer reading and teen read week; new technologies such as streaming video; lively cultural celebrations; and much more.

The FOLMC is a nonprofit organization with offices on the third floor of the Rockville Memorial Library in Rockville Town Square, next to the Rockville Metro Station on the redline. The organization's Rockville chapter is located in the same building, in Suite 100.

Kumon Math and Reading Center is an after-school math and reading enrichment program that aims to unlock theMore potential of children. This is done with building self-confidence and empowerment. Junior Kumon is for children aged 3 to 5. Starting with preschool and going though the 12th grade, Kumon designs individual math and reading programs for students to advance at their own pace.

There are three centers in Montgomery County. Nationally, there are 1,500 franchised centers and 250,000 students. Internationally, there is 26,000 centers in 46 countries. The corporate headquarters is in Osaka, Japan.
