Students who live within the boundaries of the MSMC may choose one of the three consortium schools. The others are A. Mario Loiederman, with a concentration on performing and creative arts, and Argyle, with a concentration on digital design and development.
Parkland students use applied math and science, team problem solving and research to participate in NASA-sponsored space-flight challenges and other scientific endeavors. Students have the opportunity to take high-level science electives and high school courses in eight grade.
Parkland is part of the Downcounty Consortium of high schools, which includes Montgomery Blair, Albert Einstein, John F. Kennedy, Northwood and Wheaton high schools.
