Charles E. Smith Jewish Day School - Upper School Campus
301-881-1400
Established in 1965, the Charles E. Smith Jewish Day School is one of the largest K-12 Jewish day schools in the nation. There are two locations in Rockville because the school split into upper- and lower-level grades nearly 10 years ago as its enrolment kept expanding.
The school prepares students for leadership and active engagement in American society and the Jewish community. In 2010, 40 seniors (45.9% of the class) were offered 79 merit scholarships valued at $3.8 million. In addition, students graduate in February and are sent on a 13-week long, school-sponsered trip to Eastern Europe and the Middle East.
