B'nai Israel Congregation and Talmud Torah is an egalitarian conservative congregation with an emphasis on spirituality, education, social action and community. The congregation started in 1925. In that year, a house was purchased to act as a synagogue and school, and membership dues were $12 annually. In 1973 the congregation moved its current location. It is the home of Consolidated Hebrew School for children from five different conservative congregations. Along with a chapel, the facilities have a sanctuary, atrium, family clubhouse, youth lounge, pavilion and garden. The congregation is affiliated with United Synagogue of Conservative Judaism.
