Shutdown Closes Curtain on Children’s Theater Production

Adventure Theatre was forced to cancel its Saturday production of "Good Night Moon" at Glen Echo Park.

Due to the government shutdown, Adventure Theatre Musical Theater Center had to cancel its performance of “Goodnight Moon” on Saturday.

The nonprofit theater organization is located at Glen Echo Park, National Park grounds. National Parks were ordered closed because of the government shutdown, which entered day four on Friday.

Adventure Theater—which is not federally funded—has temporarily moved its classes to its academy location at Rockville’s Wintergreen Plaza, the theater said in a news release.
