Government | No City Council meeting tonight
The Mayor and Rockville City Council are scheduled to meet Monday, Sept. 9 at Rockville City Hall. Council meetings are broadcast live on Rockville 11 and online. View agendas here.
FYI | Construction continues at the courthouse
The Maryland Avenue Judicial Center entrance will reopen at the end of the month—but the Monroe Street entrance will close temporarily at the end of September and will last for about 6 months. The disruption is due to continuing construction on the Judicial Center Annex project.
Back to School | Get ready for fall sports
Most high school athletic programs in Montgomery County start on Wednesday. The first day of school is Aug. 26, for public school students.

Give | Paladar Latin Kitchen & Rum Bar hosts Manna Food fundraiser
As part of the restaurant’s grand opening, Paladar Latin Kitchen & Rum Bar will host a fundraiser for Manna Food on Thursday, donating a proceeds from dinner sales to the Gaithersburg-based nonprofit. Call 301-816-1100 to make a reservation. The restaurant’s official ribbon cutting is Friday.
