History: According to the NLCS website, "National Lutheran Communities & Services (NLCS) brings more than 120 years of service to seniors through our ministry and mission. It’s a story of generous people, committed to a life serving seniors and their families. Today, that spirit continues and grows, reaching out to more people who face new challenges." The organization operates The Village at Rockville in Rockville, Md., and is currently constructing The Village at Orchard Ridge in Winchester, Va.
