Minors Can Still Participate on Election Day
Students in grades 6 to 12 are needed to serve as aides on election day.
Minors wishing they could take part in the upcoming presidential election, take note:
Montgomery County is seeking students in grades 6 through 12 to serve as Election Day aides on Tuesday, Nov. 6.
"Students are placed in neighborhood precincts, according to their home addresses," according to a statement from the Bethesda-Chevy Chase Regional Services Center.

"This 'Future Vote' initiative combines civic participation and the opportunity to observe democracy in action. It's available to all students at public, private, independent and religious schools and in home-school settings in Montgomery County," according to the statement.
Students do not need to be U.S. citizens to participate, and bilingual students and students with American Sign Language skills are encouraged to apply, the statement added.

A one-hour training is mandatory for participating students and their parents or guardians. Students may receive student service learning (SSL) credits for the experience.
