CES: The Affordable Private School Is Closer Than You Think!

CES will begin bus transportation for students in 2013!

Christ Episcopal School (CES) in historic Rockville will begin transportation to and from campus for students in Gaithersburg, Germantown, North Potomac, Bethesda and the Darnestown area beginning in the fall of 2013.  Considered the “hidden gem” of Rockville, the school community felt it was time to do away with the “hidden” moniker and aid families seeking an affordable, rigorous, community-centered education.

“Our picturesque location is on the corner of South Washington and West Jefferson Streets, two blocks away from the Rockville Town Center.  People drive by all the time and don’t even know it’s a school,” said Dr. Caroline Chapin, Head of School, “We saw an opportunity to expand our community base and give hard-working parents a break by picking up and dropping off their wonderful children closer to home. “

Established in 1966, CES serves students in preschool through grade 8.  In addition to the new transportation plan, the School developed a revolutionary curriculum delivery model called LIFT: Learning Integration For Tomorrow™.  Created with the assistance of Johns Hopkins University’s Center for Technology in Education, LIFT puts students in high-performance teams to solve real world problems.
