Rockville Swim and Fitness Center Facilities to Close for Maintenance
Temporary closures of facilities will be staggered over the next three weeks.
will close its facilities for maintenance at various times over the next three weeks, the center announced on its Web site.

- Aug. 12-17: South Indoor Pool closed.
- August 18-26: North Indoor Pool closed.
- August 20-24: Lobby, indoor locker rooms and fitness room closed.
The closures of the lobby and locker rooms will require patrons to enter and exit the center through the outdoor entrance and use the outdoor bath house, the center's Web site said.
The closures will allow contractors access "to do some needed repair and maintenance work," the Web site said. "In order to get this work done, we've got to close these facilities for a very short time so we and our contractors can get in and out quickly."

The center will offer extended recreational swimming hours during the maintenance period.
