Potomac Community Resources Team Runs in Rockville 5K

Thirty members of the nonprofit for adults with developmental disabilities completed the annual race.

A group of about 30 adults with developmental disabilities finished the Rockville 5K race on Sunday. The group comprised members of Potomac Community Resources, Inc., a nonprofit that provides innovative recreational, social and therapeutic programs for teens and adults with developmental disabilities.

PCR members start training in August with the and Target Community and Educational Services. The culmination of their training is their participation in the Rockville 5K race. All PCR members who completed the race received medals to honor their hard work and dedication.

PCR released a statement that said: "We are grateful to the City of Rockville for allowing PCR members to be included in the annual Rockville 5K race. This event proves to be an amazing opportunity for PCR members to feel included in a community event, while also showing the achievements of people with disabilities to the general community."
