VIDEO: Montgomery College Celebrates the Class of 2011 with 'Pomp and Circumstance,' Parting Words
The Rockville campus hosted the college's commencement ceremony on Friday.
Friends and family gathered at Montgomery College-Rockville on Friday morning to celebrate the 2011 graduating class of students from the Rockville, Germantown and Takoma Park/Silver Spring campuses, as well as students from the Workforce Development and Continuing Education Department.
Commencement speaker Wallace D. Loh, the president of the University of Maryland, College Park, congratulated the class on their achievements and the new opportunities awaiting them.
"Everyone of you has triumphed over odds to become a success story," said DeRionne Pollard, who addressed Montgomery College graduates for the first time as the college's president.
