Report: Board of Education Wants Plan For Rock Terrace Funds

School under investigation for alleged mishandling of student work-study pay.

Montgomery County Public Schools’ Superintendent Joshua P. Starr has been asked to come up with a plan for addressing the controversy overfunds withdrawn from Rock Terrace School bank accounts, The Gazette reports, citing a letter to a school parent form a school official.

The Montgomery County Board of Education made the request, according to the Dec. 9 letter, The Gazette reports. Starr is expected to report back to the school board within the month, the newspaper reports.

The State’s Attorney’s office and Montgomery County Public Schools have been investigating the school, which serves students with disabilities, after parents alleged the students’ work-study pay was being mishandled.
