Fire Alarm Sends Churchill High Students Out in Frigid Temps

Luckily, it was only for a short while.

Winston Churchill High School was temporarily evacuated on a very cold Tuesday morning after a malfunctioning pipe triggered a fire alarm, a Montgomery County Public Schools spokesman said.

School officials determined there was no fire.

The school was evacuated for about 10 minutes. While there were no reports of emergencies at Churchill, there were grumblings from students who did not enjoy having to brave the cold.
