Walk to School Day

The City of Rockville invites students and schools
to participate in the 14th annual International Walk to School Day as part of the Safe Routes to School initiative.

The program seeks to encourage and enable more children to walk or bike to school safely. Walk to School Day was created to spotlight safer routes for walking and bicycling, and to emphasize the importance of increasing physical activity, implementing pedestrian safety, reducing traffic congestion, protecting the environment and building connections between families, schools and the community.

Individuals or schools interesting in participating in Walk to School Day may contact Jon McLaren at 240-314-8625 or jmclaren@rockvillemd.gov
