Inspired Parenting: Charting a Course for Success (A parent education conference)

Join the Early Childhood Center
(ECC) and the Parent Encouragement Program (PEP) for a one-day conference on

and provide inspiration, tools and techniques to help empower the most
important role of a lifetime - parenting.

It includes a keynote address,

certified Parent Educator and the Education Coordinator for PEP. Workshops,
which will follow the keynote address, include "Setting Limits for Young
Children," "Mindful Parenting," "Developing
Social/Emotional Skills," "Healthy Foods, Healthy Kids," and
"Kindergarten Readiness." Free lunch is being provided by Noodles
& Company. Conference Fee: Early Bird $35 (by Oct. 1), $40 after Oct. 1.

The Parent Encouragement Program (PEP) is a 30 year-old local non-profit
educational organization whose mission is to support parents and others who
work with children in the challenging task of child rearing. Each year over
2,500 parents take a PEP workshop or course held at various locations in the DC
