Flu Discussion Sponsored by American Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology and the Rockville Science Center

The American Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology and the Rockville Science Center co-host a public discussion of influenza.

Organizers hope to educate the residents of Rockville and Montgomery County about influenza, as well as the needs for, and benefits of, receiving a flu shot.

Montgomery County will be administering free flu shots (by appointment only).

Anna Ramsey-Ewing (5 to 6 p.m.) and Barney Graham (6:30 to 7:30 p.m.), both of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases at the National Institutes of Health, will lead the discussion. Each will give a very brief nontechnical talk about flu and answer questions from attendees.

The discussion will be held in Building II at the Universities at Shady Grove.
