Christ Episcopal School's Fall International Festival

Families hosted tables spotlighting culture from around the word.

Christ Episcopal School celebrated the diversity of their community with a Fall International Festival on Oct. 29. The festival featured 15 cultural tables hosted by CES families indigenous to the countries represented. Nations represented included Denmark, Kenya, Greece, Armenia, India, Ethiopia and Pakistan. Each family prepared food and displayed icons and clothes that represented the uniqueness their cultures.

The festival came to life thanks to Diversity Committee co-chairs and CES parents Mark Edwards and Brian Shipley.

“As parents of children at CES, we are so proud of the community and kinship that was shared by our families at the Fall International Festival," Shipley said. "It was a great celebration of our school's diversity and fostered a true sense of belonging for everyone."
