Pursuing Justice Through Inclusion
This community inclusion training will include participants from various disciplines: camp leaders, informal and formal educators and others who work or live with children with disabilities.
The Partnership for Jewish Life and Learning is hosting an inclusion training next week.
This community inclusion training will include participants from various disciplines: camp leaders, informal and formal educators and others who work or live with children with disabilities. Many people in the community do not realize there are a large number of children who are not participating in events, camps, etc. because those who offer such programs do not know how to successfully include those with disabilities. The training is aimed to give everyone the skills, tools and information necessary to prepare them to welcome and engage this population.

People think working with children with disabilities is the charitable thing to do, but really, it’s the right thing to do. This training will help participants see that they are learning skills to help create and communicate what an inclusive community really means.
