Winter Holiday Closures

City Hall will be closed with many city facilities on limited schedules on Dec. 26 and Jan. 2.

With Christmas and New Year’s Day falling on Sundays, most city and county facilities will be closed on Monday, Dec. 26 and on Monday, Jan. 2.

All City of Rockville facilities will be closed and no programs will operate on Dec. 25 and Jan. 1.

Many city facilities and programs will operate on a limited schedule on Saturday, on Monday, on Dec. 31 and on Jan. 2.

Holiday hours for city facilities are as follows:

  • Rockville City Hall will be closed Monday, in recognition of Christmas, and Jan. 2, in recognition of New Year's Day.
  • Rockville Senior Center is closed Dec. 19, through Jan. 2 for flooring installation.
  • Twinbrook Community Recreation Center will be open 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Dec. 24, 26 and 31 and Jan 2.
  • Thomas Farm Community Center will be open 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Dec. 24, 26 and 31, and Jan. 2.
  • Lincoln Park Community Center will be open 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Dec. 24 and 31, and Mondays, Dec. 26 and Jan. 2.
  • Croydon Creek Nature Center will be open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Dec. 24 and 31 and will be closed Dec. 26 and Jan. 2.
  • Glenview Mansion Art Gallery will be closed Dec. 24-26 and Jan. 1 and 2.
  • F. Scott Fitzgerald Theatre Box Office will be closed Dec. 24 through Jan. 2.
  • Rockville Swim and Fitness Center will be open 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Dec. 24 and 31. The center will open for regular hours on Dec. 26 and Jan. 2.
  • RedGate Golf Course will open for regular hours with the first tee time at 9 a.m. on all days except Dec. 25 and Jan. 1, when it will be closed.

Recycling and refuse collection will not be affected.

Parking will be free at city-owned meters and garages on Christmas Day and New Year’s Day. Fees will be in effect at the standard rate on Dec. 26 and Jan. 2. For payment information on Town Center parking garages, go to rockvilletownsquare.com/parking.
