Voting Guide: Election Day Polling Locations

Looking to vote in Tuesday's primary election? Patch has you covered with what you need to know for Election Day.

Polls are open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. for Tuesday's primary elections, but it might be better for your work schedule and your blood pressure to hit the election booths a little later.

Many voting precincts see the biggest turnout between 7 and 9 a.m., according to Marjorie Roher, spokeswoman for the Montgomery County Board of Elections.

“We always encourage people if they can go later in the day to do so, because they might be waiting in a line,” Roher said. Montgomery County used to see an after-work/dinner rush to the polls but in recent elections that time block has seen a quieter turnout, Roher said. “Really we have a morning rush and then a few little peaks throughout the day.”

Looking to plan out your election path to avoid the rush? Check the the elections board's website to find your exact polling location.
