Video: Family Justice Center Hosts Annual Benefit

Gov. Martin O'Malley presented his wife, Judge Catherine Curran O'Malley, with the center's Forerunner Award at the benefit in Rockville.

Community leaders, government officials and corporate sponsors gathered at the in Rockville on Sunday for the Montgomery County Family Justice Center's 2nd annual benefit in support of the organization's mission to aid families affected by domestic abuse.

Benefit Chairwoman Catherine Leggett and Tom DeGonia II, president of the foundation's Board of Directors, served as emcees for the awards presentations. 

The foundation awarded its Forerunner Award to Maryland's first lady, Judge Catherine Curran O'Malley, for her role in the fight against domestic violence, including her support of legislation to take guns away from domestic abusers.
