Rockville's Online Map Helps Residents Find Date for Leaf Collection

Rockville residents can plug their address into an online map to find the date leaves will be collected in their neighborhood.

Spring leaf collection in the City of Rockville is scheduled for April 7 through 18, and residents can find the date for collection in their neighborhood via a new interactive map.

The online map at www.rockvillemd.gov/leafcollection lets residents input their address to learn when their leaves will be collected. Rockville crews will be vacuuming leaves from curbs in five collection areas within the city from April 7 through 18.

Residents should rake leaves into the gutter or immediately adjacent to the pavement if no curb or gutter exists. Leaves can be raked any time immediately before or during collection week. If city leaf collection crews are unable to complete an area during their collection week, crews will continue working on the unfinished portion on the following Saturday.

Please DO:
Place leaves at the curb by 6 a.m. on the collection dates. Sticks and all other objects must be removed from leaf piles.

Rockville also encourages residents to use alternative methods for disposing of leaves to save collection and disposal costs and to help the environment. Some alternatives are to mulch or compost leaves.
