Rockville Scholars: Sairam S. Nagulapalli

The Montgomery College student is pursuing an economics degree.

Sairam S. Nagulapalli received a $2,000 college grant from the Rockville Scholarship Foundation, Inc.

Juggling many leadership roles while finishing his second year at Montgomery College with a 4.0 grade point average, Nagulapalli is pursuing his goal of obtaining a degree in economics from the University of Maryland, College Park.

The native of India and City of Rockville resident has been honored with several awards for academic excellence including the Paul Myron/Robert White Award and the Edward McDowell Award as well as the Maryland Collegiate Honor’s Council’s Portz Award for Outstanding Honors Student. He managed Montgomery College’s Student Senate committees, creating a number of guidelines and bylaws.
