Kelley Day Terry, director of the Twinbrook community center, the tournament is intended to give kids the chance to get to know Rockville City police officers.

"The kids see the officers in a different light, and they joke around," Day Terry said in an announcement. "It also opens up a line of communication so the next time they see them they can talk to them, and it's great."
