Project Search Interns 'Graduate'

Project Search is a Montgomery County program designed for young adults with intellectual or developmental disabilities.

Project Search Montgomery interns participated in a “graduation” ceremony on Friday after successfully completing one year of a program with Montgomery County government.

The County Executive’s office submitted these photos from the ceremony in Rockville.

Project Search is designed for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities who are either in their last year of high school or are recent graduates. The inaugural class of 12 interns spent the prior 10 months at job sites in a variety of county departments and agencies.

County Executive Isiah Leggett and County Council Member Phil Andrews gave remarks and presented the interns with certificates. Other speakers included Office of Human Resources Director Joe Adler and Department of Permitting Services Director Diane Jones.
