Presidents Day Closures

City Hall will be closed with many city facilities on limited schedules on Monday.

Many city and county facilities will be closed on Monday in observance of Presidents Day.

In the city of Rockville the following facilities will be closed:

  • City Hall.
  • Rockville Civic Center Park offices.
  • The Glenview Mansion and Glenview Mansion Art Gallery.
  • F. Scott Fitzgerald Theatre and box office.
  • All City of Rockville sports practices and programs held in Montgomery County Public schools are canceled. County schools will be closed.

The following city facilities will be opened as follows:

  • Croydon Creek Nature Center (10 a.m.-2 p.m.).
  • Lincoln Park Community Center (Regular hours, 9 a.m.-9:30 p.m.).
  • RedGate Golf Course (winter hours; first tee time at 9 a.m.).
  • Rockville Swim and Fitness Center (Regular hours, 6 a.m.-9 p.m.).
  • Thomas Farm Community Center (Regular hours, 6 a.m.-9:30 p.m.).
  • Twinbrook Community Recreation Center (Regular hours, 6 a.m.- 9:30 p.m.).

The Rockville City Council will not meet on Monday. The next scheduled meeting is Feb. 27.

Trash and recycling will be picked up on regular days.

Parking will be free at city-owned meters.

In unincorporated parts of Rockville the following facilities will be closed:

  • Montgomery County government offices.
  • Montgomery County Public Schools and MCPS administrative offices.
  • County libraries.
  • County liquor stores.
  • State offices and courts.

Other county, state and regional facilities and services are open or running on modified schedules:

  • Ride On (modified holiday schedule).
  • Metrobus (special service).
  • Metrorail – 5 a.m. to midnight.

County trash and recycling will be picked up as usual and the Shady Grove Processing Facility and Transfer Station will be open.

Parking will be free at county public garages, lots and curbside meters.
