Gansler to Officially Kick Off Campaign for Governor in Rockville

Attorney General Doug Gansler is the third Democrat to announce gubernatorial bid.

Attorney General Doug Gansler will officially join an already crowded field of candidates seeking to become the next governor of Maryland. 

Gansler will announce his quest to become the state’s next executive on Sept. 24 when he kicks off his campaign in Rockville with a seven day 16 stop statewide bus tour.

"We have worked together for these past 21 years that I have been in public service and I am going to need your help again on this campaign. This campaign is about our families and our future," Gansler wrote in an email announcing his planned bus tour.

Lt. Gov. Anthony Brown and Del. Heather Mizeur have already announced their intentions to run for the Democratic nomination for governor.
