Council to Discuss City Water System, Potential Rate Increase

The Rockville City Council meets at 7 p.m. Monday.

The Rockville City Council is scheduled to hear a report on the city's water system on Monday evening. The briefing will explain why a proposed rate hike spelled out in the pending fiscal 2013 city budget is needed to upgrade the system's aging infrastructure and maintain water quality.

Other items on the agenda include a public hearing on a green building tax credit, a discussion of , a discussion of economic development, and a discussion of a request for a legal opinion on the city’s Adequate Public Facilities  Ordinance.
