Where to Celebrate National Night Out in Rockville, Montgomery County

National law enforcement crime prevention effort is Tuesday.

Montgomery County police, outdoor lights and neighbors, will be out Tuesday for 2013 National Night Out. It’s the 30-year anniversary for this widespread effort to connect police and residents to prevent crime and build community spirit.

City police in Rockville and Takoma Park also will participate. See where to go in your neighborhood:

1st District (Rockville)
  • 1st Street and Lincoln Park: Rockville Housing Authority and Rockville City Police are hosting the event. Montogmery County police 1st District officers will be assisting. 6 to 9 p.m.

  • Twinbrook Baptist Church: 1001 Twinbrook Parkway. Rockville police and county police 1st District officers will attend. 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.

2nd District (Bethesda)
  • Scotland Community: 7838 Scotland Drive, 6 to 8 p.m.

  • Rosemary Hills Community: Gwendolyn E. Coffield Community Recreation Center at 2450 Lyttonsville Road, time TBD.

    • South Four Corners Community: Dallas Avenue Neighborhood Park, 900 Forest Glen Road. 7 to 8 p.m.

  • Oakview Community: Oakview Pool, 101 Corliss Ave. 6 to 8 p.m.

  • Hillandale Community: Pools at 10116 Green Forest Drive and 915 Schindler Drive.  5 to 7 p.m.

  • CASA: Pine Ridge Apartments Community Center at 8600 Piney Branch Road. 6 to 8 p.m.

  • Dring’s Reach Apartments: 3418 Robey Terrace. 5 to 8 p.m.
