Two Workers Injured in Fall at Rockville Home

The men fell from scaffolding that was about 16 feet high, a fire and rescue spokesman said.

Two workers sustained non-life threatening injuries after falling about 16 feet from the scaffolding they were using to install siding on a house in Rockville on Friday morning, a county fire and rescue service spokesman said.

The incident occurred about 11:30 a.m. in the 400 block of South Horner Lane, said Capt. Oscar Garcia, a fire and rescue spokesman.

The men, one in his 40s and the other in his 20s, were taken to Suburban Hospital in Bethesda, Garcia said.

“They were classified as traumas and were transported as a precaution,” he said.

Fire and rescue investigators were not immediately able to determine what caused the fall, Garcia said. The cause was not apparent from looking at the scaffolding and there was a “language barrier” with the victims, he said.
