Police: Tuesday's Double-Bank Robberies Not Related

In under two hours, two Rockville banks less than a mile apart were robbed.

Montgomery County Police said that two Rockville bank robberies reported nearly a block away from each other and less than two hours apart were not related.

The first robbery was reported at around 9:30 a.m. at SunTrust Bank at 1475 Rockville Pike, where a robber with gun ordered a teller to give him cash and drove off, police said.

Police said two people were involved in a second incident that happened just before 11 a.m. at Wells Fargo Bank, at 110 Congressional Lane—less than a half mile away.
