Thefts, Burglary Tops Rockville City Police Reports

Arrests and incidents for the week ending July 9.

 

The following is compiled from crime summaries provided by the Rockville City Police Department. Arrests do not imply guilt.

400 block of College Parkway: A 19-year-old man was arrested for possession of a controlled dangerous substance-marijuana between 5:08 and 5:13 p.m. on July 2.

300 block of Martins Lane: A 23-year-old man was arrested for failing to obey a lawful order and hindering at 9 a.m. on July 6.

100 block of Gibbs Street: A 21-year-old man was arrested for theft at 6:45 p.m. on July 7.

100 block of Gibbs Street: A 15-year-old male was arrested for trespassing at 10:25 p.m. on July 7.

1500 block of Rockville Pike: A 37-year-old man was arrested for trespassing between 4:40 and 4:50 p.m. on July 8.

400 block of Beall Avenue: Two males, ages 12 and 14, were arrested for fourth-degree burglary between 12:55 and 1:30 a.m. on July 9.

Incidents

Unit block of Maryland Avenue: The complainant reported that an unknown subject removed a laptop from an office suite between 11 a.m. on June 24 and 8 a.m. on July 6.

200 block of Richard Montgomery Drive: The complainant reported that an unknown subject removed her Kindle, while she was at the school between 5 and 8 p.m. on July 1.

200 block of West Edmonston Drive: The complainant reported that an unknown subject removed golf clubs, a pair of golf shoes, tennis shoes, four golf shirts, a golf bag and a golf club travel case from an unlocked vehicle between 1:01 a.m. and 11:59 p.m. on July 2. 

5900 block of Halpine Road: An unknown subject attempted to gain access by butting a rear screen porch door and by trying to pry open a rear kitchen window at a residence between 10 p.m. on July 2 and 8 a.m. on July 3. No entry was made.

Unit block of Preserve Parkway: The complainant reported that an unknown subject removed her unattended purse containing an iPod, make-up, a debit card, a cell phone charger and an ID card from a table at a restaurant between 12:01 and 12:20 a.m. on July 3.

1800 block of Piccard Drive: The complainant reported that an unknown subject removed her purse containing U.S. currency, a credit card and a driver’s license between 8 and 9 p.m. on July 3.

1600 block of Coral Sea Drive: The complainant reported that an unknown subject removed a tire gauge with case and U.S. currency from an unlocked vehicle at 11:14 p.m. on July 3.

Suspect Description: A black male, 15 to 18 years old, 5 foot 10 inches to 6 foot, 150 to 170 pounds, with an Afro style haircut.

400 block of Elmcroft Boulevard: An unknown subject attempted to gain access by kicking at the door of an apartment between 12:28 and 12:29 a.m. on July 4. No entry was made.

2000 block of Baltimore Road: The complainant reported that an unknown subject removed a designer watch from a package that had been delivered to her apartment between noon on July 1 and noon on July 5.
