Arrests and incidents for Aug. 4 to Aug. 13.

 

The following is compiled from crime summaries provided by the Rockville City Police Department. Arrests do not imply guilt.

100 block of E. Montgomery Avenue: A 14-year-old boy was arrested on Aug. 5 for a theft that occurred on July 18 in the 700 block of Princeton Place.

12800 block of Atlantic Avenue: A 40-year-old man was arrested for trespassing and obstructing and hindering a police investigation between 6:08 and 6:30 p.m. on Aug. 5.

700 block of Rockville Pike: A 36-year-old man was arrested on two counts of trespassing between 2:20 and 2:26 p.m. on Aug. 8.

14900 block of Shady Grove Road: A 42-year-old man was arrested for failure to provide identification to a law enforcement officer upon request between 11 and 11:30 p.m. on Aug. 8.

300 block of Barnside Place: A 17-year-old boy was arrested for theft between 4:30 and 4:36 p.m. on Aug. 8.

300 block of Martins Lane: A 21-year-old man was arrested for possession of a controlled dangerous substance—marijuana and possession of controlled dangerous substance paraphernalia at 1:27 p.m. on Aug. 9.

700 block of Hungerford Drive: Two men, ages 28 and 39 years old, were arrested for drinking in public at 5:39 p.m. on Aug. 9.

Taft Street and Loftstrand Lane: A 20-year-old man was arrested for possession with intent to distribute a controlled dangerous substance—marijuana -- at 10:10 p.m. on Aug. 10.

600 block of Hungerford Drive: A 26-year-old man was arrested for theft between 4:40 and 4:51 p.m. on Aug. 12.

800 block of Rockville Pike: An 18-year-old woman was arrested for theft between 12:51 and 12:54 p.m. on Aug. 13.

Incidents

1400 block of Research Boulevard: Unknown subject or subjects gained access by prying open a rear door to a restaurant between 6 p.m. on Aug. 3 and 6 a.m. on Aug. 6. Once inside, currency and three cartons and five packs of cigarettes were taken.

300 block of Hungerford Drive: The complainant reported that an unknown subject removed a wallet containing currency, three credit/debit cards and an identification card from her purse while at a retail store between 12:30 and 4 p.m. on Aug. 4. 

1700 block of Rockville Pike: The complainant reported that an unknown male and an unknown female entered the store and removed several items of clothing between 6:30 and 6:45 p.m. on Aug. 4.

Suspects’ descriptions:

  1. A black female, 30 to 40 years old, 5 feet 4 inches to 5 feet 6 inches, 175 to 185 pounds, with medium length black hair and a heavy build. Last seen wearing a white baggy dress.
  2. A black male, 40 to 45 years old, 5 feet 6 inches to 5 feet 8 inches, 170 to 180 pounds, bald, with a medium build and two gold teeth. Last seen wearing a white baggy shirt and black baggy pants. 

500 block of Oak Knoll Terrace: The complainant reported that an unknown subject removed currency and a pair of designer sunglasses from a vehicle between 4 p.m. on Aug. 5 and 4:45 p.m. on Aug. 9.

100 block of Rollins Avenue: The complainant reported that an unknown subject removed a GPS and a pair of designer sunglasses from a vehicle between 10:15 a.m. and 9 p.m. on Aug. 6.

100 block of Frederick Avenue: The complainant reported that an unknown subject removed a passenger side mirror from a vehicle between 10:30 p.m. on Aug. 6 and 9 a.m. on Aug. 7.

Maryland Avenue and Prospect Hill Place: The complainant reported that an unknown subject approached from behind, produced a weapon and demanded property between 8:14 and 8:39 p.m. on Aug. 6. The complainant complied and the subject fled the area.

Suspect description: A black male, 20 to 22 years old, 5 feet 11 inches to 6 feet, 150 to 180 pounds, with brown eyes, a bald or shaved head, medium skin tone and a medium build. Last seen wearing blue jeans, a polo-style green and white striped shirt.

1600 block of Rockville Pike: An unknown subject or subjects gained access by climbing onto a rooftop and entering through an unlocked door next to a rooftop patio at a restaurant between 4:11 and 4:35 a.m. on Aug. 6. Once inside, the subject or subjects removed currency.

800 block of College Parkway: The complainant reported that an unknown subject or subjects removed a laptop from a vehicle between 3 and 4 a.m. on Aug. 7. 

800 block Rockville Pike: The complainant reported that an unknown subject removed a purse containing makeup, U.S. currency, a pair of eyeglasses, a pair of sunglasses, a tote bag, a pair of tennis shoes and miscellaneous clothing from a vehicle between 6:30 and 8:30 p.m. on Aug. 7.

1100 block of Seven Locks Road: The complainant reported that an unknown subject entered the men’s locker room at a gym, forced open his locker and removed U.S. currency and vehicle keys between 8:32 and 9:45 p.m. on Aug. 7.

12500 block of Ardennes Avenue: An unknown subject gained access by unknown means into an office between 4 p.m. on Aug. 7 and 6:10 p.m. on Aug. 8. Once inside, the subject removed three laptops.

15100 block of Frederick Road: The complainant reported that an unknown subject removed currency from her wallet, which was left unattended at a store between 5:45 and 6 p.m. on Aug. 8.

200 block of New Mark Esplanade: The complainant reported that an unknown subject removed a wallet, currency, a camera, and two credit/debit cards from an unlocked vehicle between 6 p.m. on Aug. 8 and 2:43 a.m. on Aug. 9.

1200 block of Brooke Drive: An unknown subject gained access by unknown means into a residence between 8:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. on Aug. 9. Once inside, the unknown subject removed a laptop and a camera.

1200 block of Highwood Road: The complainant reported that an unknown subject or subjects removed several prescription medications from his residence between 10 a.m. and 7 p.m. on Aug. 9.

Unit block of Research Court: The complainant reported that an unknown subject removed U.S. currency from a hotel safe between 11 p.m. on Aug. 9 and 2:50 p.m. on Aug. 10.

600 block of Hungerford Drive: The complainant reported that three unknown subjects entered the business and placed items in a shopping cart and left the store without paying for them between 1:30 and 1:36 p.m. on Aug. 10.

Suspects’ descriptions:

  1. A white female, 20 to 25 years old, 5 feet 4 inches to 5 feet 7 inches, 120 pounds, with medium length brown hair and a thin build. Last seen wearing blue jeans and a black T-shirt.
  2. A black female, 25 to 30 years old, 5 feet 4 inches to 5 feet 7 inches, with medium length black hair and glasses and a medium build. Last seen wearing blue jeans and a yellow Aero shirt.
  3. A black male, 25 to 40 years old, 5 feet 8 inches to 5 feet 11 inches, 180 to 200 pounds, with short black hair and a medium build. Last seen wearing a black shirt with a yellow design on the front and blue shorts.

1600 block of Congressional Lane: The complainant reported that after dining outside at a restaurant, she inadvertently left her purse, containing a wallet, credit cards and a set of keys, hanging on the back of a chair between 2:30 and 2:49 p.m. on Aug. 10. When the complainant returned to the restaurant to get her purse, it was gone.

100 block of Rollins Avenue: The complainant reported that while eating lunch at a restaurant, an unknown subject removed his wallet containing currency, a bank card and a driver’s license, from a table between 12:40 and 12:45 p.m. on Aug. 11.

1400 block of Longhill Drive: The complainant reported that an unknown subject removed an iPod and currency from two vehicles between 7 p.m. on Aug. 11 and 1:33 p.m. on Aug. 12. 

600 block of Hungerford Drive: The complainant reported an unknown subject entered a business and placed items in a bag, then left the store without paying for them between 6:45 and 7:01 p.m. on Aug. 12.
