Rockville Police: Puppy Thief With Cat Tattoo Still At Large

Rockville City Police: "We're hoping she sees herself in the videos and turns herself in."

Rockville city police are looking for a woman with a cat tattoo who walked into Just Puppies pet shop and slipped out with a $1,200 Maltese.

The Washington Post was the first to report the story Thursday. Police described the suspected puppy nabber as a white female with a Chesire cat tattoo on her neck and a European accent, The Post reports.

In surveillance footage Patch obtained from Rockville police, the woman enters the store around 5 p.m. April 12 and appears to place the dog in her bag. She then leaves the store.

Rockville police Lt. Eric Over said there have been a few puppy sightings but no leads on the woman with the cat tattoo.

“It’s just a matter of time,” Over told Patch. “We’re hoping she sees herself in the videos and turns herself in.”
