Rockville Crime Summary: Teen Arrested for Concealed Weapon, Robberies Reported

The following is compiled from crime summaries provided by the Rockville City Police Department. Arrests do not imply guilt.

Arrests

North Washington Street and E. Middle Lane—A 52-year-old male was arrested for an outstanding warrant and possession of marijuana at 2:17 p.m. March 5.

600 block of Great Falls Road—A 13-year-old male was arrested for possession of a concealed weapon on school property on March 8, between 2:15 and 2:20 p.m.

200 block of Richard Montgomery Drive—A 31-year-old male was arrested for possession of marijuana and three counts of possession of drug paraphernalia at around 6 p.m. March 12.

Incidents

200 block of West Montgomery Avenue—A cell phone, clothing, money and a passport were reported missing from a locked locker at a homeless shelter. Police said the incident occurred between 9 p.m. March 11 and 9 p.m. March 15.

1700 block of Rockville Pike—Police said a male who implied he had a gun robbed a business at around 3 a.m. on March 15. Police said the male put the cash in a shopping bag and was last seen on foot heading toward Rockville Pike.

Police are looking for a 20-year-old black male, who is between 5-foot-8 and 5-foor-10 and 150 to 180 pounds, with brown eyes, black hair. Police said he was last seen wearing a black scarf around his face and a red hooded sweatshirt

300 block of Hungerford Drive—A pedestrian was beaten and robbed after a man asked to borrow a cigarette. Police said the man hit the pedestrian and then two other men beat him to the ground before robbing him and driving away in an older dark blue vehicle—either a Honda or Toyota.

Police said the men were between the ages of 20 to 26 and said one of the suspects was black, 5-foot-7 at 160 pounds, with brown eyes, black hair and a small chin beard. He was last seen wearing a gray shirt, light blue jeans and a black baseball cap.

A detailed description of the two other men was unavailable.

100 block of Evans Street—A residence was broken into on March 17 between, 9:15 a.m. and 3 p.m.  A rear window was broken. Nothing taken.
