Rockville Crime: Assaults, Burglaries and Drug Arrests Top City Police Reports

Arrests and incidents for June 15—July 12, as reported by Rockville City Police.

 

The following is compiled from crime summaries provided by the Rockville City Police Department. Arrests do not imply guilt.

400 block of Lincoln Street: A 21-year-old man was arrested for theft and second-degree assault at 6:45 p.m. on July 13.

1000 block of Crawford Drive: An 18-year-old man was arrested June 15 and a 15-year-old boy was arrested on July 2 for first-degree burglary, second-degree burglary, fourth-degree burglary, malicious destruction of property and theft, in connection with an incident that occurred between 3 and 6 p.m. on March 24.

400 block of Blandford Street: A 29-year-old man was served an arrest warrant on June 28 for aggravated assault in an incident that occurred at 1:33 a.m. on Feb. 23.

Unit block of Maryland Avenue: A 50-year-old man was arrested June 29 for theft in an incident that occurred between 10:30 p.m. on Nov. 8 and 9 a.m. on Nov. 9.

700 block of Rockville Pike: A 27-year-old woman and a 37-year-old man each were arrested for possession of controlled dangerous substance paraphernalia at 11:11 a.m. on July 9.

2700 block of Tower Oaks Boulevard: A 32-year-old man was arrested for disorderly conduct and failing to obey a lawful order between 11:36 p.m. on July 9 and 12:05 a.m. on July 10.

1327 Rockville Pike: A 28-year-old man was arrested for possession of a controlled dangerous substance—fluorinated hydrocarbon inhalant—and for trespassing between 8:15 p.m. and 8:55 p.m. on July 9.

200 block of Park Road: A 48-year-old man was arrested for disorderly conduct between 11:40 a.m. and noon on July 10.

1700 block of Chapman Avenue: A 21-year-old man was arrested for theft at 6:10 p.m. on July 12.

700 block of East Gude Drive: A 52-year-old man was arrested for possession of a controlled dangerous substance—marijuana— and possession of controlled dangerous substance paraphernalia and a 35-year-old woman also was arrested for possession of controlled dangerous substance paraphernalia at 10:14 p.m. on July 13.

600 block of Hungerford Drive: A 32-year-old man was arrested for theft, possession of controlled dangerous substance—marijuana— and possession of controlled dangerous substance paraphernalia at 6:35 p.m. on July 15.

1000 block of Julian Place: A 58-year-old man was arrested for first- and second-degree assault at 10:31 p.m. on July 15.

Incidents

900 block of King Farm Boulevard: The complainant reported that she was assaulted while in a meeting with two subjects at 5:20 p.m. on July 11. The subjects took her laptop, two cell phones, and an iPad. The subjects fled the scene in an unknown direction.

100 block of Maryland Avenue: The complainant reported that an unknown subject removed a GPS from a vehicle between 5 p.m. on Feb. 14 and 7 a.m. on July 9.

100 block of Charles Street: The complainant reported that an unknown subject removed jewelry from a residence between 12:01 a.m. on July 5 and 11 p.m. on July 10.

600 block of Twinbrook Parkway: The complainant reported that an unknown subject removed U.S. currency from a lock box at a residence between noon on July 6 and 9 p.m. on July 9.

7400 block of Westmore Road: The complainant reported that an unknown subject removed two tires from a vehicle that was at an auto repair business between 7 p.m. on July 6 and 10:30 a.m. on July 10.

Unit block of Choke Cherry Road: An unknown subject or subjects gained access by prying open two entry doors that led to a storage room at a construction site at 8:45 p.m. on July 8 and at 7:39 a.m. on July 9. Once inside, the unknown subject or subjects removed copper wiring, a hammer drill, a saw and Romex wiring.

13100 block Atlantic Avenue: The complainant reported that an unknown subject removed his GPS from his vehicle between 12:30 and 6 p.m. on July 10.

1700 block of Rockville Pike: The complainant reported that an unknown subject removed U.S. currency from an unlocked safe in an office at 5:15 p.m. on July 11 and at 11:30 a.m. on July 12.

700 block of Rockville Pike: The complainant reported that an unknown subject removed four metal hydraulic fluid storage tanks from a construction site between 6 p.m. on July 11 and 7 a.m. on July 12.

5700 block of Crawford Drive: The complainant reported that an unknown subject removed a GPS from a vehicle between 8 a.m. on July 12 and 2 a.m. on July 13.

9200 block of Darnestown Road: An unknown subject or subjects gained access and entered an unsecured building at a construction site and pried open a storage room between 2:30 p.m. on July 12 and 6 a.m. on July 13. Once inside, the unknown subject or subjects removed copper wiring.

300 block of Martins Lane: The complainant reported that an unknown subject removed a set of headphones, a flash drive, an iPod charger and U.S. currency from a backpack that had been placed in a locked shed between 12:15 and 3 p.m. on July 13.

1600 block of Veirs Mill Road: The complainant reported that an unknown subject removed a wallet containing U.S. currency, a driver’s license, insurance cards and a credit card from a vehicle.
