Rockville City Police: Robbery on Stonestreet Ave., Golf Equipment Stolen, More

The following incidents were supplied by Rockville City police. Arrests do not indicate convictions.

Arrests

Unit block of Maryland Avenue—A 33-year-old man was arrested for disorderly conduct and public intoxication on Oct. 20 at 8:12 p.m. 

200 block of Richard Montgomery Drive—A 15-year-old boy was arrested for theft and possession of a deadly weapon (brass knuckles) on school property on Oct. 21, at around 8:15 a.m.

Woodland Road and North Stonestreet Avenue—Two 17-year-old boys were arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia on Oct. 21, at around 8:18 p.m.

700 block of Beall Avenue—A 31-year-old man was arrested for making a false statement to a police officer and obstructing and hindering on Oct. 24, between 8:30 and 8:45 a.m.

Incidents 

Unit block of Upper Rock Circle—A golf bag, a set of golf clubs, golf balls, and golf tees were taken from a storage unit sometime between 9 a.m. Oct. 14 and 5 p.m. Oct. 26. 

15800 block of Shady Grove Road—Cash was taken from an office suite sometime between 5:30 p.m. Oct. 18 and 10 a.m. Oct. 21. Police said the rear door to the office suite was forced open. 

13200 block of Atlantic Avenue—Five males were involved in a theft from a business Oct. 18, between 10 and 10:30 p.m. Police said one person talked to an employee while the other four stole merchandise. The males were seen leaving in a 2003 Silver Toyota Avalon with Virginia plates. 

1300 Rockville Pike—An iPad, a pair of designer sunglasses and pocketknife were taken from a briefcase in an unlocked office on Oct. 19, sometime between 2:30 and 4 p.m. 

1900 block of Veirs Mill Road—A male reports being attacked by five assailants at around 5:30 p.m. Oct. 20 at 5:33 p.m. A detailed description was unavailable.

400 block of Hungerford Drive—A cell phone was taken from an unlocked office Oct. 21, between 2 and 3 p.m. 

200 block of Park Road—An unattended wallet was taken from a table at a restaurant 5 p.m. Oct. 21. 

Unit block of Bradley Court—An iPad inadvertently left outside a residence was taken Oct. 22, sometime between 2:40 p.m. and 6 p.m.

1100 block of Thornden Road—A purse was taken from an unlocked vehicle at around 8:30 p.m. Oct. 22. 

Unit block of Mannakee Street—An unattended backpack, a wallet, a laptop, and a cell phone were taken from two unattended tables at a school library on Oct. 23, between 3:30 and 3:50 p.m.

400 block of North Stonestreet Avenue—A male told police that he was robbed by two males as he was walking home on Oct. 23, at around 7:30 p.m. Police said one of the males began talking to him, when the other began assaulting him.  They demanded property and began to unzip a bag, implying that there was a weapon. Police said the victim handed over his two cell phones and a wallet. The males then were last seen heading towards the Rockville Metro Station and were described as: 

#1 – Black male with light skin tone, 22 years old, 5’10”, 160-170 pounds, medium build. Last Seen Wearing: blue jeans, black/gray hoodie w/ horizontal stripes

#2 – Black male, dark skin tone, 22 years old, 5’6”-5’8”, 140-150 pounds, medium build. Last Seen Wearing: black pants, black hoodie

200 block of Richard Montgomery Drive—Police a male who asked a stranger to borrow his cell phone to make a call and took off with the cell phone after it was handed over. The incident happened at around 1 p.m. Oct. 24.The male is described as:

A white male, between 16 and19 years old, 5’10”-6’0”, thin build, brown eyes, short black hair, light brown skin tone, has a silver gauge in right ear, carrying a black backpack.

1500 block of Rockville Pike—Police said a man at a business put items in his coat without paying at around 2:30 p.m. Oct. 24. 

400 block of Twinbrook Parkway—A female said she saw a stranger in her unlocked vehicle and said the male took her purse. The incident happened at around 2:30 p.m. Oct. 25. 

500 block of Saddle Ridge Lane—A pair of earphones, a sunglass case, and loose change were taken from an unlocked vehicle on Oct. 25 between 7 and 10 p.m.
